Cockroach Janta Party to Launch ‘Kya Bolti Public’ Campaign to Make Unemployment a Nationwide Issue

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)—the fast-rising, youth-led political and social movement in India—has announced its next major move: a nationwide outreach campaign titled “Kya Bolti Public.” Led by founder and activist Abhijeet Dipke, the CJP aims to travel across the country starting in September to engage directly with young citizens and force critical economic issues, particularly rising youth unemployment and commercialized education, into the national spotlight.

This announcement comes on the heels of the movement’s historic youth-led demonstrations at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, which recently culminated in the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following exam leak scandals and widespread student protests.

What is the ‘Kya Bolti Public’ Campaign?

The “Kya Bolti Public” campaign is designed as a pan-India public consultation drive. CJP members and conveners plan to tour multiple states to interact directly with youth, students, and parents at the grassroots level.

Key objectives of the outreach include:

  • Amplifying Youth Aspirations: Listening to the grievances and expectations of citizens under 35, who represent roughly 65% of India’s population.
  • Making Unemployment a Mainstream Issue: Shifting public discourse toward the growing crisis of educated youth being forced into underemployed gig work.
  • Reforming Higher Education: Pushing to curb the skyrocketing fees in private universities, schools, and coaching institutes that leave families burdened with heavy debt.
  • Demanding Democratic & Governance Reforms: Addressing concerns surrounding institutional transparency, media independence, and constitutional values.

“Nearly 65 per cent of India’s population is below 35 years old, yet political parties fail to address their core struggles. No one’s dream is to become a delivery executive out of sheer compulsion—unemployment is an urgent crisis, and we will make it a nationwide issue,” stated founder Abhijeet Dipke.

From Online Satire to Nationwide Pressure Group

The origin of the Cockroach Janta Party is one of the most remarkable political developments of 2026. What began in May as a satirical response by political strategist Abhijeet Dipke quickly evolved into a massive Gen-Z movement.

Despite its rapid expansion and organizational structuring—which includes the appointment of national conveners like Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das—the leadership reiterated that CJP will remain a social pressure group rather than converting into an electoral political party.

According to Dipke, the movement draws its ideological inspiration from the Constitution of India, grounding its core principles in the values of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru.

Key Priorities for the Upcoming Drive

Focus AreaCore Objective
Employment CrisisAddressing degree inflation and advocating for high-quality, stable jobs for graduates.
Education PolicyStopping the commercialization of private educational and coaching institutes.
Grassroots EngagementDirect interactive sessions across states to gather real feedback from local youth.
Institutional AccountabilityPushing for transparency in competitive exams and institutional governance.

What’s Next for CJP?

Alongside the “Kya Bolti Public” roadshow, CJP has launched a nationwide digital membership drive through its official web platform, inviting young professionals, students, and active citizens to join the cause. With delegations also preparing to visit ongoing student movements in states like Jharkhand, the Cockroach Janta Party is positioning itself as a sustained public movement capable of holding leaders accountable outside the traditional electoral framework.
